This is a very easy step in the game. All you have to do is find an online service that provides birth certificates for use abroad. My state of birth directed me to the website, which will send an official copy with an apostille to an international address (for about $80). Just go to the website, fill out all the information and provide a credit card. No fuss, no muss.
